Support for parents
The University offers several initiatives and services for both parents, and expectant parents.
University support and resources
- Induction checklist for returning parentsA tool to support you in returning from maternity, adoption, or shared parental leave.
- Coaching for new parentsIndividual coaching sessions for staff going to, or returning from, parental leave. Sessions can cover topics such as, career management, work-life balance, and building confidence.
- Nursery provisionThere are two nurseries located on the University campus for children of University staff and students. For children aged between 3 months and 5 years.
- Free swimming during pregnancyUnlimited swimming access and no prior membership is required. The University swimming pool has six lanes and a moveable bulkhead, alongside a comfortable teaching pool for lessons.
