Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at Bristol
We believe that our people need to be themselves and see themselves in order to thrive at work.
This means that we must provide an equitable and inclusive experience for all colleagues and understand the value that diversity of people, perspective and experience brings to our ability to adapt, innovate, and to maintain our position as a leading research-intensive university.
The central EDI Team drives the cultural and structural change that is required to make this happen and ensure that our university is a great place to work for everybody, regardless of background or circumstance.
We influence the University’s strategic vision for EDI and translate this into innovative and impactful action based on extensive expertise and a deep understanding of people demographics, organisational culture, and the wider external and legislative contexts.
Our work is developed across the following three EDI strategic pillars that we have identified as critical to supporting the implementation of the University’s EDI Strategy: an inclusive infrastructure, diversity of representation and a culture of belonging.
