Starting the International Foundation Programme (IFP)

Apply for your Student visa 

You will usually need to apply for your Student visa from overseas. You must allow enough time to obtain a Student visa and arrive in Bristol.

If you are already in the UK, contact Student Visa Advisers to ask if you can apply in the UK. 

You must meet the financial requirement in advance of applying. For students relying on funds in a bank account, this means holding the necessary amount for at least 28 days.   

Important dates 

  • Programme start date: 14 September 2026 
  • Deadline for arrival and registration: 10am, 28 September 2026 

Get your CAS

You will need a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) to apply for the visa. 

To receive your CAS, you must:  

  • meet the conditions of your offer as stated in your offer letter. 
  • pay your programme deposit, as stated in your offer letter. 
  • provide a copy of your passport. If you did not provide it with application, you can send it to the appropriate email address from the list below. 
  • complete under-18 parent/guardian declaration form (if applicable). If you will be under 18 when you submit your visa application, your parents must complete this parent/guardian declaration form.
