NHS bursaries for first year students entering postgraduate studies

Financial Support for Dentists in the South West – University of Bristol Postgraduate Study

To support the delivery of more advanced NHS dental care outside of acute hospital settings, NHS England, in collaboration with the NHS Local Dental Network, is offering financial support to dentists providing NHS services within the South West.

A £4,000 bursary is available for dentists who wish to enhance their clinical skills by enrolling in one of the University of Bristol’s postgraduate programmes in Oral Surgery, Periodontology, or Conscious Sedation. This bursary covers a significant portion of the academic fees.

Applications will be assessed on merit and in line with predefined criteria by the relevant Managed Clinical Network. Please note that applications will only be considered once a provisional offer of a place on the relevant course has been made.
