Co-hosted by BDFI and two of its community partners, Knowle West Media Centre (KWMC) and Black South West Network (BSWN), this event will showcase the success of a six-year project collaboration on ‘Explainable AI’, which highlighted the crucial role of racial justice, arts and community participation in grounding AI, and digital innovation, in local knowledge, needs and interests.
In addition to sharing insights on just and inclusive AI futures, the event will also focus on exploring how to build successful collaborations between community, industry and academic partners. There will be opportunities for networking and finding common points of interest, as well as in-depth knowledge sharing on the opportunities, challenges and benefits associated with such collaborations.
At BDFI, we are eager to facilitate strong engagement between our community and industry partners, and we hope this event will act as a springboard for future collaborations in sociotechnical innovation.
