Honorary Fellows

The BDFI Honorary Researchers are leaders in their field providing specialist knowledge and expertise that helps drive our shared mission.

  • Stephen Hilton
    Stephen brings more than 20 years’ experience in innovation and collaborative research projects to BDFI. He is the founder of Bristol Futures Global, which is helping to connect people with smart, sustainable and inclusive city futures. Previous projects include working with the University of Bristol to pioneer the 5G Smart Tourism Testbed in Bristol and Bath.
  • Tim Kindberg
    Dr. Tim Kindberg is a computer scientist by background. He is the founder of Matter II Media, a company specialising in software for collective action. His most recent product, Sust, is a platform for sustainable fashion. He is also a long-standing resident of Bristol's Pervasive Media Studio and has been involved in the design of BDFI’s Reality Emulator from the beginning.
