National Museums, Liverpool: Changing Places

The exhibition Changing Places (2008–9) was collaboration between the artists Phil Sayers and Rikke Lundgreen, and National Museums Liverpool; Bury Art Gallery, Museum and Archive; The Collection and the Tennyson Research Centre, Lincoln; and Leeds City Art Gallery. Bristol lecturer Dorothy Rowe was invited to contribute two exhibition catalogue essays: 'Of Magic, Myth and Metamorphosis' and 'Disruptive Beauty'. The exhibition brought contemporary feminist art to new audiences by integrating it with more traditional collections in popular venues.  In 2009, Rowe worked with the artists again when she curated the exhibition Myth and History at the Bristol Gallery.
