Childhood cardiovascular health and later brain structure
ALSPAC research showed that childhood weight, blood pressure and physical activity are linked to brain changes later in life that are associated with dementia risk. The findings highlighted that dementia prevention should begin much earlier in life, supporting policies that promote healthy weight, cardiovascular health and physical activity from childhood.
We consider this an important contribution toward public discussions and academic research.
