Arts and Social Sciences Library study spaces

Early Closure

Unfortunately, the upper floors of the Arts and Social Science Library will be closing early on the following days:

    • 5.30pm on Friday 20th September
    • 4.30pm on Saturday 21st September
    • 4.30pm on Sunday 22nd September

The ground floor will remain open as a study space for University of Bristol staff and students (UCards will be needed to enter and exit the building). 

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. 

Building Work

Remedial fire improvement works are being carried out at the Arts and Social Sciences Library from 5th August until the start of the next academic year. These works may be noisy and disruptive.

Term-time upper floors opening hours

The ground floor of the Arts and Social Sciences Library is open 24/7 for reading and reference use. The upper floors of the library will be open as per the hours listed below.

  • Group rooms 2, 3 and 4 are all on the first floor and each seats up to 8
  • The second floor group room seats up to 12
