Marcus Munafò has been awarded funding by the Wellcome Trust over two years to investigate how responsible research is conceived and realised, both across disciplines, and across institutions in Europe. The project, in collaboration with Sarah De Rijcke (Leiden University) and Bart Penders (Maastricht University) builds on the framework provided by the Singapore Statement on Research Integrity. The aim is to establish a responsible research Community of Practice – a group of people who "share a concern or a passion for something they do and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly" – across the UK Reproducibility Network. The project links to wider activity across the sector, including the recent UK government R&D People and Culture Strategy, and will add to the growing meta-research community at the University of Bristol.
