During the weekend the library is staffed by our Student Advocates, who can provide peer to peer support.

The Medical Library will close at 10pm on Friday 19 December and reopen on Monday 5 January 2026.

Medical Library Evening and Weekend Access

The Medical Library is accessible via an alternative route from 6pm on weekdays and all day at weekends. To find this entrance, please follow the purple signs located at the top and bottom of the Cantock Steps, to the right of the Biomedical Sciences Building.

Reduced services

During periods with reduced services only reading, reference, loan and return facilities are available. When the library is closed a book return box is available.
