Gordon Trevett
Gordon is the current Warden of Hiatt Baker Hall. He comes from a strong Business background with past experiences as Marketing Manager, General Manager & Managing Director of businesses related to Banking, Packaging, Bakery, Retail Furnishing, Coffee Buying and Processing, and Professional Fundraising. He has worked in the UK, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea.
Gordon has been the Sport High Performance Manager & Director of Rowing of the University since 2003. He is a past international rower selected for both Great Britain & New Zealand. He has won at Henley Royal Regatta and several New Zealand National Championships Redcoats. He is also a former age group indoor rowing champion holding several World Records and NZ records.
Gordon was made British Universities Coach of The Year in 2007, and has coached many world and Olympic champions. He is married to Averill and they have a son and a daughter in NZ and two grandchildren. His favourite saying is: ’Great works are performed not by strength but by perseverance’
