Location
Hiatt Baker Hall is situated in the Stoke Bishop area of Bristol, some 3 miles north-west of the city centre. The University's Halls of Residence in Stoke Bishop (the others are Badock, Churchill, Durdham, University and Wills) are situated on on the edge of the Downs, a large expanse of open grassland (photographed below).
The main precinct of the University is some two miles away from the Stoke Bishop Halls, across the Downs and down Whiteladies Road. The route between them is always interesting, taking one through some of the most attractive and lively parts of Bristol.
