With every year a new intake of students ensures that the community of Goldney is different from those that have come before, however Goldney has succeeded in maintaining its reputation for support, respect and collective responsibility in each of those communities. This has not been an easy task but it is thanks to the great response we have had to our request that all of our residents do their best to play their part. This means getting involved with the various activities in Hall, helping to look after the place by keeping rooms, flats and the grounds clean, and also observing some essential Hall rules, which are described in the Goldney Handbook. For anyone considering Goldney Hall as a possible residence, we have made our handbook available here:

Goldney Hall has been renovated to meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (1995). Full details of the Hall’s facilities for disabled residents or guests can be obtained via post or e-mail by contacting the Accommodation Manager.
