Kurt has recently delivered talks at local schools on topics such as "Aeneas and the Slave-Priest of Nemi", "Stoic philosophy and the Mind of God", and "Orestes and Apollo the Wolf-God". For the Access to Bristol course and the summer Sutton Trust course, Kurt has designed exercises on Athenian courtroom drama, Homeric anthropology, preconceptions of heroism in Homer, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and several modern comics. His research interests are pretty broad, but he is particularly happy to speak about ancient philosophy, epic and tragic poetry, and Greek religion, especially in connection with modern philosophy and fiction.
