Industrial partnerships

We have an extensive list of industrial stakeholders, which have contributed to the funding of additional studentships to those provided by EPSRC.

Industrially aligned projects have external supervisors, who are involved in regular meetings with the students and supervise them when on placement in the company. Our current industrial studentships are sponsored by AstraZeneca, GSK, Novartis, Vertex, AWE, Syngenta and Lilly.

Additionally, many companies offer placements and training for our students, including Argenta, Peakdale, SH&P, New Path Molecular Ltd., Ziylo and Wiley.

Academic collaborations

A large number of our students have second supervisors from other universities. Students aligned with academic partners have regular contact with their second supervisor and - depending on the project - will have the opportunity to work in their laboratories for a period of time. This gives many an opportunity to benefit from very specific expertise. Our academic collaborators are based in the UK and around the globe.
