The University of Bristol Careers Service has been invaluable over the past year. They have facilitated our engagement with a wide range of events and far more students than in previous years - from virtual panel discussions and on-campus days to careers fairs. We've been supported throughout and have enjoyed working with them.

Employer presentations and promotional events 

Host an in-person or online event to promote your opportunities.  

  • Duration: 1 hour to all day.
  • Where: On campus or online. Examples include recruitment presentations and promotional giveaways.
  • Cost: 
    • Virtual events cost £250
    • In-person events cost £350

Deliver interactive sessions to improve our students’ employability and promote your brand.

Talk to us about the Bristol Skills profile, which enables students to reflect on, develop and explain their skills.

Meet hundreds of our students in one place. This is ideal for large-scale recruitment.

  • Employers from a wide range of sectors are welcome.

Small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) programmes

We offer programmes to help your small or medium-sized organisation:

  • connect with and hire students
  • get a grant towards your intern’s wages
  • boost brand awareness
  • grow your business.

Work with our students to solve a real business challenge you’re facing.

City Challenges is for:

  • charities
  • social enterprises
  • community-focused SMEs.

Offer a funded internship in your organisation with financial support from us.

Complete a short-term project of your choice with a team of our students.

If you need extra skills and resources for a project, we’ll match you with a team of students for four weeks.

Example of projects are:

  • market research
  • analysis of your business model
  • designing a digital marketing campaign.

A series of events that connect small to medium-sized businesses with our students. These sessions are tailored to individual needs. We can support you with:

  • promoting vacancies and opportunities.
  • attracting skilled graduates and student talent.
  • developing tailored engagement opportunities that fit your business needs

More ways to engage with students

Use this service to send a targeted email about a specific promotion. For example:

  • graduate roles
  • important updates
  • event announcements.

How to sign up

  1. Complete the target email booking form.
  2. Choose up to five sectors for your vacancy, event or opportunity. When students register on our careers platform, they select the sectors they want to hear about.
  3. Select the date that you want us to send the email.
  4. Allow up to two weeks for processing during busy periods.

Raise your profile and develop a relationship with our talented students by endorsing the Bristol PLUS Award.

By taking part in one Careers Service event, you become eligible to endorse the Award.

  • Your brand will feature in PLUS Award publicity
  • It will give you direct visibility with students eager to learn about your sector and opportunities. 

Endorsing status lasts for one academic year, with the option to renew annually. Email us at careers-plusaward@bristol.ac.uk to get involved.
