Information for organisations

We offer on-campus events and activities for organisations of all sizes, as well as new ways to engage with our students online.

Introducing the Bristol Skills Profile

The Bristol Skills Profile focuses on nine essential skills, enabling graduates to bridge the gap between their academic studies and the world of work. It enables students to reflect on, develop and articulate their skills.

Speak to our team about how you can use the profile to frame your recruitment activity and attract students and graduates with the right skills and talent for your organisation: employer-services@bristol.ac.uk.

Employer events

We offer a range of in-person and virtual events to help you engage with our students. Our employer event service offers you the flexibility to create a tailored event that suits your recruitment needs. Events can be hosted on-campus or online via Zoom or your own platform.

Advertise your opportunities

Post your opportunities on our online jobs portal, which reaches over 30,000 students and recent graduates - free of charge.

Online communication channels

This year, we have created some new ways for you to engage with our students online.

Other ways to engage

What matters to our students?

Our students are engaged and proactive and care about making a positive difference in society. We’re exploring how we can work with you to share your approaches with our students.

Equality, diversity, and inclusion

Our students actively seek out diverse and inclusive organisations when researching the types of places they would like to work. If you are proud of your organisation’s work around diversity and inclusion, please contact us to talk about how we work together on events this term.

Creative industries & sustainable careers

This term, we held events based on areas of interest chosen by students, including:

  • Creative industries panel and networking event: Featuring employers and professionals from journalism, publishing, live events and touring, creative software development, film, and TV.
  • Sustainability panels: Including representatives from sustainable construction, consultancy, waste solutions, and sustainable food production.

This autumn, we will integrate these activities into the Employer Showcase, featuring two panels on creative industries and sustainable careers. If you're interested in participating, please contact daniel.keehan@bristol.ac.uk.

Are you an SME?

Our students want to meet employers of different sizes. We offer great discounts to smaller organisations and a dedicated team to offer advice on the best ways for you to engage.

Please get in touch: employer-services@bristol.ac.uk.

Host an intern

We support start-ups and SMEs with funded internships under our SME Internship Scheme.

Enterprise and entrepreneurship

Changes to the structure of the academic year

This year welcome week will start on 9 September 2024. For more information please see our website.

The Careers Service team at the University of Bristol have been very helpful over the last 2 years. Despite the pandemic, law fairs and employer events have been able to run smoothly in virtual forms and we have still been able to meet many students from Bristol.
