Information for organisations
We offer on-campus events and activities for organisations of all sizes, as well as new ways to engage with our students online.
Introducing the Bristol Skills Profile
The Bristol Skills Profile focuses on nine essential skills, enabling graduates to bridge the gap between their academic studies and the world of work. It enables students to reflect on, develop and articulate their skills.
Speak to our team about how you can use the profile to frame your recruitment activity and attract students and graduates with the right skills and talent for your organisation: employer-services@bristol.ac.uk.

- promoted your event to a wide audience
- it will stay on our website leading up to the event, making it a key feature of the events calendar
- tailor your event and only promote it to year groups and disciplines of your choice
- include your event in our Employers on Campus Newsletter, sent out to all students
- promote your event via faculties and departments.
SMEs and registered charities are eligible for a 50% discount on all rates.
Booking an event listing costs £50.
You may also wish to book a targeted email to students.
Advertise your opportunities

Online communication channels
This year, we have created some new ways for you to engage with our students online.
Feature in our newsletters
We have a space dedicated to employer activity and events in our fortnightly YourCareer newsletter that reaches over 33,000 students, as well as opportunities to feed into bespoke emails to key student groups
Contact employer-services@bristol.ac.uk to discuss your options.
Send a target email
This is a targeted service that works well if you want to send a targeted email about a one-off promotion. For example, graduate roles or particular updates you wish to promote to students.
If you wish to send a targeted email to promote an event, you should book an Event listing first. This way your organisation will get more of an enhanced profile.
How it works
When students register on our careers platform they choose the sectors they'd like to hear about.
You can book a targeted email completing the target message form. Choose up to five sectors for the vacancy, event or opportunity you're promoting. Then choose the date that you'd like the email sent out).
It may take up to two weeks in processing target email requests during busy periods. Messages must meet our terms and conditions. We reserve the right to withhold messages should they not follow GDPR or we deem them inappropriate.
If interested in booking a target email, contact us at employer-services@bristol.ac.uk.
Write a guest blog
The Careers Service blog is made up of expert careers advice and student and graduate stories. It receives over 46,000 views a year and is one of the most visited areas of our website.
If you have a University of Bristol alumnus or recent graduate in your company, ask them to write a guest blog for us. It is an excellent opportunity for them to give insight into your sector, share top tips to their peers on getting into the industry and touch on their university experience and how it prepared them for life after Uni
