All offers of accommodation will be emailed to new undergraduate students by 1st September 2012. Acceptance must be made by return on line and completed by reading and acknowledging all elements of the electronic induction procedure. Every student must have a head and shoulders jpg photograph stored, ready to attach to their acceptance email in order to complete the process.
The Student Accommodation Contract gives the basic information each student should expect to receive when an accommodation offer is sent by the Accommodation Office on behalf of a Hall of Residence. Download a sample acceptance form for information (pdf, 235kb)
The fee to be paid is governed by the grade of room allocated to the individual student. For guidance, the total fees undergraduates can expect to pay for residence at Badock Hall in the academic year 2012/2013 will be:
Room with no Basin - £5721.70 - this includes room, catering, vacation fee, £200 damage deposit, £45 JCR fee and £15.90 mandatory student insurance and the payment details per term are:
Autumn Term £2445.22 due on 24 October 2012;
Spring Term £1638.24 due on 24 January 2013;
Summer Term £1638.24 due on 24 April 2013.
Room with Basin - £5971.30 - this includes room, catering, vacation fee, £200 damage deposit, £45 JCR fee and £15.90 mandatory student insurance and the payment details per term are:
Autumn Term £2545.06 due on 24 October 2012;
Spring Term £1713.12 due on 24 January 2013;
Summer Term £1713.12 due on 24 April 2013.
Room with En Suite - £6620.90 - this includes room, catering, vacation fee, £200 damage deposit, £45 JCR fee and £15.90 mandatory student insurance and the payment details per term are:
Autumn Term £2804.90 due on 24 October 2012;
Spring Term £1908 due on 24 January 2013;
Summer Term £1908 due on 24 April 2013.
Fee payments may be made by the link to online payments. If you have a direct debit payment that fails to operate you can contact the University Finance Income Office on 0117 928 8645 in order to settle the account by other payment methods. Please do not leave fees unpaid as the cumulative balances can become onerous if ignored.
