Something for everyone .......
The Hall teams continue to achieve great results in the intramural leagues. Badock teams provide the perfect opportunity for players to enjoy sport but do not wish to commit to play for the University teams. Season 2008-09 saw our 1st Xl as Intramural Champion of Champions with the 2nd XI losing semi finalists!
It is always great to win but it is the enjoyment that players derive from training and playing together that counts. Entries to leagues hinge on the information received from new students. We always hope to field two Rugby sides, two Football, mixed Hockey, Netball and Basketball. If you would like to play for Hall do make this clear on your Personal Information Form that we request you to complete prior to arrival.
The Coombe Dingle Sports complex is just over a mile away, easily accessible on foot. This is a huge benefit to those wanting to train at the University's own playing fields.
In 2009-2010 we have entered the following teams in intramural competitions. Full strip has been purchased for football and rugby teams and polo shirts/tshirts for mixed hockey and mixed netball. Each chosen team player will be issued with kit - the full kit will cost £10 and the shirts only £5.

Badock is renowned for making music - we have enjoyed choirs, bands, ensembles and annually an orchestra is formed to support the musical drama production. Our jazz tradition continues to thrive with innovative improvisation performed in the Bar and Terrace Room throughout the year.
The Gemini Club Bar is the centre of social life in Hall. Here the success of the JCR Ents. Reps will be pivotal in the social plans for the year. During the year students enjoy themed fancy dress nights, pub quizzes, karaoke, open mic nights, guest comedians and international events.
The Rag Raid to Exeter was a massive success in 2009.
There are joint events with other Halls - speed dating one Valentine's Night involved over 250 students from both Hiatt Baker and Badock.
Plans are in place for the coming Fresher Week with activity to suit all tastes. If the club scene is not for you, the Hall Fellowship is running a chill room and also offers many opportunities to mix throughout the year, both in and out of Hall.
Artists may apply to use their own area where personal projects can be progressed; the same studio area provides an ideal place to create scenery for the Ball and Drama activities.
Although no games may be played on the paved or grassed areas of the Badock campus, the Quad provides a great communal space for relaxing on sunny days.
Whether you want to try your luck tackling opponents in a sumo suit or simply revise in the shade, there is grass a-plenty for lazing on balmy afternoons.
Once exams are finished the JCR will organise various activities to help students while away the days until results are published in the last week of term.
There are free-standing BBQs both in the Quad and near Unit 10 to allow for cooking outside at weekends when the weather permits.
In the Summer live music may be played in the Quad but we must always be sympathetic with the needs of our neighbours in terms of noise.
