The pastoral team is on duty during the evenings and at weekends. If any member of Hall has concerns they wish to discuss with a younger person, the unit senior residents are happy to support them. During the working week the Student Support Administrator is in Hall from 0800hrs to 1600hrs to give help, support and advice to students. Never be afraid to ask, whatever the query!
A Hall senior residency will normally run from 1st September in one year to 31st July the following year. A brief synopsis of senior resident duties provides an indication of the time commitment involved in pastoral tutorship. Applications are welcome from prospective or current post graduate members of the University studying on Masters or PhD courses. It is usual for interviews to commence after the end of February. These will continue until a full team has been appointed.
Warden of Badock HallMrs Françoise Evans has been Warden of Badock Hall since 2002. She has developed a friendly and caring community, supportive of the resident students. In addition to being head of the pastoral team Mrs Evans also works part time as a Teaching Fellow in the School of Modern Languages. To book an appointment with Mrs Evans residents are welcome to ring internal extension 32480 during the office hours each weekday.
Each weekday from 0800 hrs Kate Strong is in the Hall Office to help residents with advice and make sure all aspects of student administration are covered. She can be reached on Internal Extension 32480 until 1600 hrs from Monday to Friday.

Charles Gunter has been Deputy Warden since 2009. He has in-depth knowledge of Halls of Residence, having served both on the pastoral and administrative staff of Wills Hall. Charles supports the Warden in maintaining the Hall ethos of mutual respect and fairness. Charles is senior resident for accommodation Unit 4a and MB Annexe.
Unit 1 Senior Resident - Syano MusyimiAfter receiving a BA in Geography from the University of Southampton, Syano is now studying towards an MA in Philosophy at Bristol. He enjoys theatre, ballroom and latin dancing, as well as being an active a member of the University Christian Union.
Tom is the anchor man for the Gemini Club Bar Team.
He holds a degree in Mathematics from University of Bristol and is to be seen from time to time in his other role as the head of a security organisation, working for event management.
Erika is in her final year of a Mathematics degree at Bristol. After graduating she plans to start a PGCE in order to become a teacher. In her spare time Erika enjoys knitting, camping and long walks in the country.
Unit 4 Senior Resident - Louise LaneLouise is now half way through studies to achieve an MA in History.
David spent Summer 2011 working in the USA on Summer Camp. His academic interest lies with Philosophy and he is working towards an MLitt/PhD entitled 'Roboethics - Can a mchine be held morally and legally accountable for its actions?' .......
Unit 6 Senior Resident - Bryony ThomsonBryony is an enthusiastic volunteer worker in beautiful Bristol. Her degree from Bristol is in Zoology and in her spare time she loves to dance.
Unit 7 Senior Resident - Ewelina GolebiewskaAfter finishing her degree in Pharmacology at the University of Edinburgh, Ewelina moved to Bristol to pursue a PhD in platelet biology. Currently in her second year, when not busy with her research she enjoys playing bass, cycling around Bristol, boxing and bouldering
Unit 8 Senior Resident - Mark GrimesAfter studying Physics at King's College London, Mark went on to complete a PhD at Bristol in Experimental Particle Physics. He now works in the School of Physics researching detector design for CERN's large hadron collider. In Hall he will be an integral part of the management team for the Gemini Club Bar.

Unit 10 Senior Resident - Bob RawlinsonBob did his first degree in Maths at Warwick and has come to Bristol this year to study for an MSc in Computer Science after teaching in a secondary school for seven years. He enjoys running, squash, singing and playing his guitar but does none of them very well. He makes up for this by being a table football ninja. You have been warned.
