Early Italian Studies Research Cluster
The interdisciplinary research cluster, Early Italian Studies at Bristol, brings together scholars and students from across the Faculty of Arts working on medieval and early modern Italy.
About the cluster
Our shared interests include art and architecture, literature and the early printed book, letters and friendship networks, religious culture, and natural history. Activities range from research seminars and conferences to collaborative teaching and public events, including a workshop on Renaissance books and a film screening on the Florence Flood of 1966. We are keen both to explore Italian material in local collections, and to develop national and international collaborations.
Coordinators: Dr Peter Dent, Dr Lucy Donkin, Dr Rhiannon Daniels and Dr Tristan Kay.
