Anatomy of the shoulder region

Wednesday 23rd September 2015

The aim of this course is to present a detailed examination of the anatomy of the shoulder region with related sessions exploring injury and movement dysfunction. It is expected that you will have a reasonable prior knowledge of the names, position and function of the majority of the structures in the region.

The day will start with the opportunity to participate in a guided inspection of the anatomy using cadaveric and osteological material from our extensive collection. We will explore the anatomy of the shoulder joint, rotator cuff, extrinsic muscles of the upper limb and the brachial plexus. In the afternoon, a guest speaker (Steve McCaig : England Development Program and National Cricket Performance Centre Physiotherapist) will then explore related themes from a movement and clinical based perspective.

The sessions are led by highly experienced educators in the field of musculoskeletal Anatomy and movement practice.

The course costs £150 per person and includes refreshments and a light lunch.
