Department of Anatomy

Welcome

The Department of Anatomy undertakes a broad range of teaching and we have been awarded top marks (24/24) by the Teaching Quality Assurance Agency. We also conduct internationally recognised research in two major faculty themes: Neuroscience and Musculoskeletal Science. The excellent quality of our research was confirmed by the latest (2008) Research Assessment Exercise. Most Anatomy staff were assessed under “Preclinical and Human Biological Sciences” which was ranked 5th in the country, and much of our research was judged as 'world leading or internationally excellent'.
