Panel discussion: Why should I collaborate with a vision scientist?

To kick off the 25/26 BVI events season, we will start with a panel discussion to talk about why interdisciplinary collaborations are important in studying vision. We will explore questions like

  • How knowledge from human vision can inform the visual ecology of animals?
  • How can computer vision learn from biological vision?
  • How vision science can influence visual arts, vice versa?
  • How BVI fostered fruitful collaborations in the past and how can we inspire new ones?

The panel will feature a selection of the BVI Management Team, who will also lay out plans for this year and discuss the future direction of BVI. It will be an open forum, so, if you feel the question or conversation is relevant to your research, you are invited to grab a chair in the front or add to the discussion.

As always, the session will be followed by drinks and nibbles.
