Bristol Rooms

Bristol Rooms is a unique collaboration space in the Sloane Robinson building at Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus. We welcome community groups, charities, social enterprises, industry, business, public sector, and university staff and students into the space to work on shared societal challenges.

Want to attend an event, workshop or lounge in the Bristol Rooms? 

Public events at Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus, including those taking place in the Bristol Rooms are listed at: bristol.ac.uk/events. 

As the Bristol Rooms programme varies from day to day, we ask that you pre-book your place. From October regular lounge sessions will include amongst others:  

  • workshops helping to shape holistic understandings of health inequalities 
  • a business-focused book club covering topics such as employment, the economy and climate change 
  • an open mic session for local people who use assistive technologies for creative expression, for example using an adapted musical instrument or sharing poetry created with voice recognition 
  • a civic studio which will involve digital innovation students working on live projects to prototype, debate and refine ideas with community members 
  • ongoing conversations about reparative justice.

Looking for a venue for your collaborative event or workshop? 

The Bristol Rooms is a new hub to support organisations working on shared challenges faced by our city-region and others around the globe. It is available to organisations looking for a space to host an event or workshop.  

  • Good availability for venue bookings on Wednesdays from 9am to 9pm, with some availability for new bookings at other times. 
  • With space for 60 seats in workshop format, increased capacity for mingle events up to 100 guests. 

The space includes a kitchen area, a 20-person dining/meeting table, coffee table seating, a circular sofa area, and a large wall-mounted display screen. Please note that hybrid functionality is not currently supported.  

Situated on the ground floor, the space offers step-free access from the street. Level-access toilet facilities are available, including a fully accessible toilet.
