University of Bristol PhD Scholarship

Prospective postgraduate research students can apply for funding towards tuition fees and living costs

Scholarship pays tuition fees and a maintenance stipend (at the minimum UKRI rate) for the duration of a PhD (typically three years but can be up to four years). Students can receive between 50% and 100% funding from the University of Bristol PhD Scholarship and up to 50% funding from another source. Faculties can amend the award level, so clarify the award amount with your faculty.

Payments are made monthly after you have fully registered with your school and faculty. Students registering outside of the main September registration week will receive a pro-rata payment in the first instance. Future payments will be in line with the monthly payment schedule and the final payment will also be a pro-rata payment.
