The maximum award is £500, but we expect to allocate more awards up to £250. So, sometimes, we might not have the funds for a larger award.

Eligibility

To apply, you must be studying, or have recently completed, one of the following courses here (University of Bristol):

• MSci Palaeontology and Evolution
• MSc Palaeobiology
• PhD Earth Sciences (in the Palaeobiology Research Group)

How to apply

Produce a single PDF containing:

1. outline a research plan for which funding is sought (one side of A4 in font size 12).
2. summarize costs, and the funds requested. The upper limit for an award is £250.
3. explain why you need the funding (for example, we usually do not fund PhD students who have expense budgets).
4. your CV.
