News - Interoperability pilot success

Bristol is currently participating in a pilot project to explore interoperability between Researchfish and institutional systems. The first two phases of the pilot are now complete. We are pleased to announce that the upload functionality that we have been testing will be developed into a supported service, available by November 2017. Researchers are encouraged to create relations in Pure between their publications and projects. More information about the Researchfish interoperability pilot.

The research councils have harmonised on a web-based system called Researchfish to collect information on the wide range of outputs and outcomes from their funding. Researchfish was previously used by MRC and STFC, as well as a number of other funders, while AHRC, BBSRC, EPSRC, ESRC and NERC used a system called ROS (Research Outcomes System), which closed in April 2014. As part of the move to Researchfish, Research Councils have also harmonised on a single framework called the Common Question Set, which covers outcome types for all disciplines.
