Previous Activities:
- Pride Competitions
- Every year the People & Culture Committee holds a fun and light hearted competition for Pride, these competitions are in a variety of areas from an art competition in 2024 to a bake off event in 2026. The committee even ran a poetry competition in 202 during lockdown.
- STEM Intercultural Mingle
- Usually hosted every academic year, the STEM Intercultural Mingle is a Faculty of Science & Engineering wide event, let by Physics, open to staff and students from within the STEM field. The mingle is a chance to get together and celebrate our differences with food from a variety of different cultures and fun activities.
- Girls in Physics
- Annual organised visits to our laboratories with local Girl Guide groups showing young girls the power of physics, introducing them to some of the fun and wacky experiments that we are doing as well as offering them a chance to chat to staff about potential future study and careers within science.
