Susie Broadbent

Susie Broadbent is a singer, actor and musical director now based in Bristol.

She graduated with Distinction in Musical Theatre from The Royal Academy of Music and received the Hilda Anderson Award for Professional Development. Prior to this she studied Music and Drama at The University of Manchester and studied Meisner Technique in London under the direction of Fay Beck.

After graduation, she performed in the UK and internationally for companies including Scottish Opera, Bill Kenwright, Live Wire Theatre and Antic Disposition. She plays keys and sings three-part harmonies with Bristol band Digsby who have recently released their first EP and improvises musicals with the ensemble at the Bristol Improv Theatre.

Susie has an LRAM singing teaching certificate from the Royal Academy of Music and studied with renowned vocal coaches Mary Hammond (vocal coach to Lily Allen and Chris Martin) and Anne-Marie Speed (founder of The Voice Explained) and draws from a wide range of practitioners for the voice including Andrew Byrne, Ken Bozeman and Jo Estill. Specialising in Musical Theatre, Jazz and Pop, she continues her studies with Sarah Wright Owens, Barbara Houseman and Sara Coleman.  She teaches at BIMM and the Bristol Beacon alongside The University of Bristol.
