Outgoing loans to other institutions

Most material held by the University of Bristol's Library Services is available for inter-library loan, however please note:

• We do not loan items from our Special Collections. Students, academics and independent researchers can make an appointment to visit Special Collections in person.
• We do not loan theses. Most University of Bristol theses published since 2018 (and some from previous years) can be found on the University's Research Portal. It is also possible to read a print thesis in person, at one of the University's library locations; please contact library-enquiries@bristol.ac.uk to arrange your visit. 
• We do not lend audio-visual material.

Charges

• Loans to institutions in the United Kingdom and Ireland will be charged at the UK Public Good rates currently charged by the British Library's On Demand Service for standard loans and copies.
• Borrowing requests from institutions outside the UK and Ireland must be submitted via OCLC's WorldShare Interlibrary Loan or Tipasa systems.
