Discover our LLB programmes
Our LLB programme is a three-year law degree. The core and optional units reflect the wide variety of approaches to legal research adopted by the scholars in the Law School. There are a number of international law units including General Principles of International Law, Law and Policy of the European Union, British Immigration, Nationality and Citizenship Law, Transnational Arbitration, International Dispute Settlement, Commercial Conflict of Laws, and Law of the UK, EU and World Trade.

Explore our range of LLM programmes
There are a number of postgraduate taught master’s programmes in international law including the LLM International Law, LLM International Law and International Relations, LLM Law and Globalisation, and LLM International Commercial Law. A range of module options are available on these courses including General Principles of International Law, International Trade and Investment law; Conflict, Force and International Criminal Law; International Human Rights Law, and Maritime Security Law. These modules are unique in their ambition to explore intersections between different legal regimes that regulate a specific subject matter, as well as a range of domestic, regional, and international bodies overseeing enforcement.

PhD opportunities
The Centre for International Law has a large number of PhD student members working on a wide variety of international issues including International migration and refugee law, International Human Rights Law, International Political Economy, Maritime Security Law, Laws of Armed Conflict, and many other areas. PhD students are provided with the opportunity to become deputy student convenors of the Centre and are given the autonomy to organise their own events to facilitate academic and professional development.
