Fred Cooper
Fred Cooper is a historian of medicine, currently leading a case study on loneliness for EPIC, the Wellcome-funded project on epistemic injustice and health care. His practice brings historical methodologies into conversation with philosophy, the medical humanities, and social sciences, and he has written extensively on loneliness and shame in the past and present. Drawing these interests together, he is in the process of developing work on 'likeability' in medical and legal contexts.
