OCEP team share ideas in Lyon

Researchers from the Obesity-related Cancer Epidemiology Programme (OCEP) recently met in Lyon, France in May.

Researchers from the Obesity-related Cancer Epidemiology Programme (OCEP) took part in a the IARC@60 International Scientific Conference: Cancer Research in Action in Lyon, France in May. The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) is a long-standing partner in OCEP and previous cancer epidemiology programmes.

Speakers at the conference from OCEP included Marc Gunter of Imperial College London (Understanding the aetiology of the nutrition–cancer relationship), Mattias Johnansson of IARC (Lung Cancer Screening, Early Detection, and Prevention: Addressing the Leading Cause of Cancer Deaths) and Matthew Suderman (Potential of blood-based DNA methylation for improving lung cancer risk estimates).

In addition to the conference, meeting at IARC gave OCEP collaborators and opportunity to meet, share updates and plan work together.
