Michael Marder is Ikerbasque Research Professor of Philosophy at the University of the Basque Country, Vitoria-Gasteiz. He is the author of The Event of the Thing: Derrida’s Post-Deconstructive Realism (Toronto University Press, 2009), Groundless Existence: The Political Ontology of Carl Schmitt (Continuum, 2010), and Plant-Thinking: A Philosophy of Vegetal Life (Columbia University Press, 2013). He is an Editorial Associate of the Journal Telos (New York) and a General Editor or Co-Editor of four book series: "Political Theory and Contemporary Philosophy" Series at Bloomsbury Academic; "Critical Plant Studies" at Rodopi; "Palgrave Studies in Postmetaphysical Thought"; and "Future Perfect: Images of the Time to Come in Philosophy, Politics, and Cultural Studies" at Rowman & Littlefield, Int'l.
