We spend a large proportion of our lives at work, and it’s important to create a healthy working environment where wellbeing is integrated into everything we do. Providing a safe and healthy working environment allows staff to feel supported and empowers us all to achieve our best.
We are proud of the diverse workforce that we have and recognise that everyone approaches their mental health and wellbeing differently. We want to continue to break down the barriers and encourage all our community to seek support and help when needed.
Please explore the resources on the Wellbeing SharePoint site and if you have any suggestions or feedback, email staff-wellbeing-enquiries@bristol.ac.uk.
James Bigwood, Chief People Officer
As staff, I believe we have the right to a healthy and supportive environment, especially in regard to our mental health. I recognise the stresses and difficulties individuals can face both inside and outside the workplace, and I am here to facilitate discussion, understanding and support where necessary. I am well-versed in a variety of techniques and materials, and I am confident that we can work together to find the appropriate support to enable you to overcome challenges and move forward.
