  • Remote Overseas Working Winter 2023

If your Staff request to combine remote working days overseas with annual leave this winter, they may benefit from the temporary International Mobility amendeded guidelines for Christmas 2023 if their travel is between Saturday 8 December and Sunday 21 January. 

As approval is at the discretion of the Head of School (or Director in Professional Services), you must ensure the School/Section process is followed as per the standard guidelines on Remote Working Overseas.

  • ‘The Historical Representation of Black Womanhood’ with Dr Michele Curtis, a Black History Month event

Wednesday 25th October, 1 pm to 2 pm, In-person, Wodehouse Lecture Theatre.

To commemorate this month’s Black History Month’s theme, ‘Saluting Our Sisters’, artist and inspiring activist Dr Michele Curtis will join the EDI Team for a special Lecture exploring the historical representation of Black Womanhood. This lecture will highlight the stigmas pitted against Black woman throughout history, and the importance of showcasing women who pioneered the American, Caribbean and British civil rights movement. This lecture will further highlight modern Bristolian women and the contributions they have made to the city.
