The Staff Engagement Team, in collaboration with Sport, Exercise and Health, would like to remind you of Mental Health Awareness Week. A full programme of events will take place from 15- 21 May 2023.
The theme for this year is anxiety and will be particularly focused on managing anxiety through periods of change and transition. A number of in-person and virtual workshops reflecting this theme will be running throughout the week. In addition, other face to face activities such as gym tours and wellbeing walks will be available. We will also be running a Staff Steps Challenge.
We’d love you to share the information with your direct reports to ensure they are aware of what’s on offer. Additionally it would be great to see you engage with some of these sessions during Mental Health Awareness Week. The full schedule, booking information and registration for the Steps Challenge can be found on the Mental Health Awareness Week Sharepoint Site.
Sophie talks through her career both in and outside the university, how each of her roles and projects have fed into one another to be beneficial as a whole package. She also talks through how changing her gender affected her work and personal life, discussing and addressing common talking points from her own lived experience.
The seminar will include a talk and Q&A. Open to all University of Bristol Staff and Postgraduate Students.
