Mental Health Awareness at Work is a 50-minute interactive course. Please go to Develop and search for 'Mental Health Awareness' in the Catalogue.
Changes to Recruitment System
We’re making some changes to our recruitment system:
The 'structured CV' will be replaced with a CV upload option.
When we introduced anonymised shortlisting in November 2020 it was necessary to remove the CV upload element of the application form because we couldn’t rely on candidates to remove personal information from their document. We’re now able to re-introduce this due to a clever piece of in-system AI that formats a CV, removing all identifying information in the process.
What does this mean for hiring managers?
For all Professional Services roles, hiring managers will now see candidate CVs as part of a candidate pack detailing employment history, presented in a uniform way. For roles that were open for application during the switchover, hiring managers and panel members will see some employment history in the form of the structured CV (submitted pre-change) and others in anonymised CV format (submitted post change). The original CV’s submitted by applicants can be seen once shortlisting outcomes have been returned.
What does this mean for candidates?
We’re simplifying the application journey, making it easier to apply for a role. Candidates will notice that the PDF they receive on our receipt of their application will show their CV in a revised format. This is the AI doing its work. We’ll be covering this is our recruitment FAQ’s.
The way we send candidate packs is changing.
We’ve reviewed our practices around circulating candidate packs to selection panels to ensure that our methods meet the data privacy expectations candidates have from us as a data processor. The use of fluff links will end, and candidate packs will now be sent directly from our recruitment system via email to panel members.
How does this impact my experience of receiving candidate packs?
On occasions where the number of candidate packs is low, panel members will receive them straight into their inbox, marked as confidential. When pack volume (and collective file size) is higher, our recruitment system will send an email containing a link. Accessing this link will take you to a portal where you’ll be able to access each individual candidate pack. The link itself may appear suspicious, but you’ll know it’s legitimate when you see the job number in the subject field. Upon following the link, you’ll see the sign-in screen. Enter your email address before pressing continue. This will generate an access code to your inbox that once entered permits access to your candidate packs.
Lastly, for individuals in divisions where application review and shortlisting are currently taking place on system as part of our pilot, please continue to do so.
