HALSEN conferences

Join us for the annual Health and Life Sciences Education Network (HALSEN) Conference, a vibrant gathering of educators, researchers, students, and practitioners dedicated to improving learning and teaching across the health and life sciences.

This year’s theme, Supporting and Empowering Students and Educators to Reach Their Potential, explores inclusive, innovative, and evidence-informed approaches to teaching and learning in higher education.

We welcome submissions from educators, students, professional services colleagues, and early career researchers, as well as those exploring new directions in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL). The conference offers a supportive and collaborative space to share both established projects and work in progress, including pilot studies, early ideas, and student-led initiatives.

Whether you are an experienced academic, a clinician, or a student with a passion for education, HALSEN 2026 offers an inspiring programme of talks, workshops, and networking opportunities designed to connect, challenge, and inspire.

Our HALSEN conference will be held on Wednesday 9th December 2026.
