International sponsored students

Pre-sessional students

Please provide your sponsor letter to the International Partnership and Relations Team by 10 June 2020.

Email to international-partnerships@bristol.ac.uk

You are an international sponsored student if you have been given money to cover part or all of your course fees and/or living costs from one of the following:

  • your home government
  • the British Council
  • an international organisation or company
  • a university
  • a British independent school

Please Note: A sponsor is not a family member or friend who has agreed to pay your tuition fees.

Sponsor letters

When registering at the University of Bristol you will need to provide your sponsor letter to the International Partnerships and Relations team so that we can set up your records.

If we do not receive your sponsor letter, you will be invoiced for all tuition fees.

The letter must be on official headed paper from your sponsor’s organisation, and must include:

  • your name;
  • the name and contact details of your official financial sponsor;
  • the official stamp of your official financial sponsor;
  • the date of the letter;
  • the length of the sponsorship;
  • the amount of the money the sponsor is giving to you or that the sponsor will meet all of your tuition fees and any additional programme costs.

Please Note: If your sponsor letter only covers one year (and your course is longer than one year), you will need to provide a sponsor letter to the International Partnerships team at the beginning of each academic year.

When and how to provide your sponsor letter

You can send your letter to international-partnerships@bristol.ac.uk.

All sponsor letters need to be sent to us by 10 June 2020, otherwise you will be invoiced for the full tuition fees.
