Start a PGR club

A simple guide to setting up and maintaining a PGR club

  1. Find two or three people to set up and run the club with.
  2. Contact uob-pgr-hub@bristol.ac.uk to let us know about your idea, including details of whether you might need some financial support to buy materials and/or snacks.
  3. Pick a regular slot to hold your sessions (e.g, the first Friday afternoon of the month) and check with us to ensure this doesn't clash with any existing clubs. 
  4. If you wish to use the Training Room 2.22, you can book it yourselves via our booking form. If you wish to use the collaborative space (the sofa area), this doesn't need to be booked. Or let us know where you meet if it's an outdoor club like running or cycling.
  5. Create some promo materials for your session (we recommend Canva as it's free and simple to use) and email us your poster/social media graphics/message for inclusion in the BDC Bulletin.
  6. We'll add your sessions to our events calendar to allow PGRs to book.
  7. At the session, ask your attendees to tick their names off the sign-in sheet so we can keep track of the popularity of the club.
  8. Feel free to set up a Teams Chat or WhatsApp group to keep in touch with your members.
