Questionmark template migration summer 2015

To improve the staff and student experience with Questionmark Perception (QMP) we have developed a new set of University of Bristol branded templates for use with all assessments and exams taken via the system.

These templates benefit from an improved design for students and are easier for the technical teams to support. The new templates will replace any current templates used for all assessments, including exams.

If you use QMP for assessments, including exams, you should change them over to one of the new templates. On 10 September 2015 we will transfer all remaining assessments to new templates. Please check your assessments before making them available to students after 10 September 2015. These screencasets show you how to change and assessment's template:

Timescale for implementation

Date Announcement
15 May 2015 Announcement 1. Communication sent to all colleagues informing them about the introduction of the new templates with recommendations to start using the new templates during the Summer Assessment Period 18 May - 5 June 2015
06 July 2015 Announcement 2. Communication to all colleagues asking them to migrate to the new template, with instructions.
08 September 2015 Announcement 3. Communication to people who are still using the old templates.
18 September 2015 TEL team will change all remaining assessments with unsupported templates to _01 UoB QXQ template.
30 September 2015 Announcement 4. Communication to all colleagues informing them of final changes and completion of the template migration. Unsupported templates will no longer be available in QMP. See list of templates below for full details of available templates.

List of templates

Template name Description
_01 UoB – QXQ Displays one question per page. This will be the recommended template for all exams and assessments unless there are particular requirements.
_02 UoB - QXQ - Calculator Includes a web-based calculator in the browser.
_03 UoB - QXQ - Static intro text Displays the introductory text on the left and questions on the right.
_04 UoB - QXQ - French Provides a French character palette for text entry questions.
_05 UoB - QXQ - Italian Provides an Italian character palette for text entry questions.
_06 UoB - QXQ - German Provides a German character palette for text entry questions.
_07 UoB - QXQ - Spanish Provides a Spanish character palette for text entry questions.
_08 UoB - All Questions Displays all question on one page. It is recommended to use feature "Save As You Go" with 'manual and automatic'.
_09 UoB - All Questions - MathJax This template was developed specifically for staff in Engineering. It uses the Mathjax javascript library for formatting equations. Find out more about Mathjax and LaTeX.
_10 UoB - All Questions – Italian Provides an Italian character palette, with all questions on one page.
_11 UoB - All Questions – Print This is a customised template for Registration forms. It Allows students to print the form after they have submitted. It is not recommended to use this template for standard assessment and exams.
