Our goal in moving to Ultra is to improve this experience by providing a modern, dynamic, accessible interface which keeps pace with new ways of teaching. | University-wide | Ongoing |

| Digital skills and capabilities | The DEO are committed to improving the understanding and importance of digital skills and capabilities. Aligning ourselves with the Jisc Digital Capability framework, over the next year we will be aiming to develop this understanding for both staff and students, so that both can feel confident in their digital skills and recognise the importance of their use throughout their time at university and in the development of their careers. | University-wide | Ongoing |
| Online assessment platform requirements (including remote proctoring and invigilation) | A short requirements-gathering exercise to assess what faculty requirements for remote, high stakes assessment. | University-wide | Ongoing |
| Student digital partners | In June 2026 the Digital Education Office hired four students to work with us on a part time basis as Student Digital Partners. These students will be working in partnership with the DEO, bringing fresh perspectives and insights to the team to help shape the digital learning experience across the University. Working alongside us, they’ll not only be exploring how digital tools and resources can better support student life, but will also work to help improve online and in-person learning spaces, as well as researching into different ways of learning. | University-wide | Ongoing |
| TQEC Programme development | We will be working with programme teams to embed digital approaches in programmes due to be taught at TQEC. | School based | Ongoing |
