BladeUp is a UKRI funded Prosperity Partnership between the University of Bristol, Vestas, and LMAT, working to transform how wind turbine blades are designed and manufactured.
As the world demands more clean energy, current blade production needs to scale to support this transition. BladeUp is developing new digital design tools and engineering approaches that make blades quicker to manufacture, more reliable, and easier to bring into full production.
Our work will help the wind energy sector grow sustainably, support skilled jobs, and accelerate the transition to a low‑carbon future.
