Professor Dek Woolfson to receive prestigious 2025 Vincent du Vigneaud Award

The School of Chemistry's Professor Dek Woolfson has been announced as one of the winners of the Vincent du Vigneaud Awards for 2025.

This prestigious award, presented by the American Peptide Society, recognises outstanding achievements in peptide research at mid-career. It was named in honour of Nobel Prize winning biochemist Vincent du Vigneaud (1901 – 1978), who was known for his pioneering work with sulphur compounds and peptides.

Professor Woolfson will receive his award along with fellow winner Professor Ashraf Brik​ of Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, during a special session at the 29th American Peptide Symposium and 15th International Peptide Symposium in San Diego in June 2025.
