Postgraduate Researcher Symposium 2026

The 2026 Postgraduate Researcher Symposium 09:00-16:30 BST 28th April. Free to attend.

Are you a researcher in anthropology and/or archaeology? Are you a student or staff member interested in any of the multitude of research foci or methods that make up these intertwined subjects? Curious about lipid analysis, digital ethnography, the architecture of power, or the agency of flint? Please come along to this free event for a series of presentations on in-progress research from postgraduate researchers at the forefront of their sub-disciplines.

Alongside presentations by Rae Hackler, Katie Fitzpatrick, Valentyna Petrenko, and Jaehyun Kim

Also presenting will be keynote speaker Dr Colleen Morgan from the Department of Archaeology at the University of York. Colleen is a renowned expert in feminist, queer, posthuman and anarchist digital archaeologies; pedagogy in field archaeology, and worldbuilding the past.
