December 2025

The meeting covered updates on ongoing work and two key research activities. The group discussed the blog on the recent House of Commons Library exchange visit, agreeing it was a useful learning experience and that further collaboration should be explored.

Members reviewed plans for a new lung health study involving adults from Children of the 90s. The study will invite 160 participants for a short clinic visit to complete a new breathing test and an optional finger-prick blood test. The group felt the £20 thank-you payment was fair and gave helpful feedback on participant information, including making it clearer that individual test results will not be returned, improving accessibility, and clearly explaining invitations and future plans.

The group also discussed questionnaires for parents of young children. While some felt the questionnaires were long and potentially challenging, others found them manageable online. Suggestions included improving accessibility, reducing duplication where possible, and clearly explaining that questionnaires can be completed in stages.

Finally, plans were discussed to recruit a new public member to the group.
