This important study is looking to understand better how medicines are used on dairy farms, by dairy farmers. This project has been generously funded by The Langford Trust charity for animal health and welfare.
Project outline
We will be studying how veterinary medicines are used and recorded on dairy farms in South West of England and South Wales. This is the important first step in providing better and more efficient ways of recording and estimating medicine use in the dairy sector, and to better understand why and how medicines are used on farms.
We are currently seeking to recruit dairy farms in Somerset, Bristol, East Wiltshire, Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Swansea for this project. We are looking for dairy farms of ALL sizes and management types.
